Juli Received her BFA in Film & Digital Film from University of the Arts and she is currently working on a MFA in Film Production from Temple University. Juli’s writing and directing debut with 45RPM was awarded an Indie Film Initiative grant given by the Ozark Foothills Film. The film screened at over 20 festivals & picked up 12 awards including Made in Arkansas Best Feature & Best Actress from the Little Rock Film Festival, Audience Awards at Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival & Knoxville Film Festival, and Best Soundtrack at RXSM.
Building the film community in Arkansas has been Juli’s personal mission for years. She is thrilled to be a part of an organization that is making that happen on a bigger scale and believes in our native talent and vision as filmmakers. The ACS mission is very close to Juli’s heart, she has found that the desire for artists to create outside the media epicenters of Los Angeles and New York is continuing to grow and even with the Digital Revolution there is still a huge need for knowledge and resources in smaller cities like Little Rock as well as rural parts of our state. She believes ACS works to inspire and instruct filmmakers of all ages and encourage networking that will further develop our creative community.
