INTERFORM PRESENTS THE 2022 Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week

by
Kody Ford

INTERFORM presents Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week (NWAFW) this spring, March 10-12th in Bentonville! This event will be live and in-person for the first time since 2019. Tickets will be on sale February 1st.

The three nights of runway shows will feature both local and national designers, including collections from INTERFORM’s Marshallese and Congolese sewing classes. The final night of shows will feature New York City based designer and contestant of Amazon Prime’s Making the Cut, Rinat Brodach headlining.

INTERFORM is a 501c3 Non-profit organization at the forefront of creative growth and change in our community. We envision a self-sustaining design-led fashion and art industry in Northwest Arkansas and we build robust programs to directly support that vision. We foster greater levels of creativity and provide the right education and resources needed to grow our designers and artists. We uplift and center the creative works of those who are underrepresented and use our platform to encourage others to do the same. We are here to propel creatives forward and aid in their professional journey.

Last fall, in lieu of NWAFW, INTERFORM released The Collective: A 10 Part Fashion Film. You can watch it online here or attend an in-person screening co-hosted by ACS and the Fort Smith International Film Festival on March 24th at Temple Live in Fort Smith.

At  ACS, we believe that if we provide filmmakers an arena to exhibit their talents, and film enthusiasts a healthy diet of quality programming, we can inspire more Arkansans to make and watch more films. By supporting filmmakers, festivals, theaters and young people interested in filmmaking throughout the state, we hope to create statewide network, pool Arkansas’s resources and be an umbrella organization that feeds all things film. We believe a rising tide lifts all boats.

connect to create.

To be a filmmaker, we have to connect to create. A painter needs a brush, paint and a canvas. A director needs a writer, a cinematographer, a sound mixer, production designer, editor, actors, distributors, and an audience. We cannot do it alone. This art form forces one to collaborate and thus, creates jobs. Filmmaking is unique in the arts in this way. It takes an army.
