Upon completing his master’s degree at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, Marlow Stern worked as a reporter covering all facets of the film industry at The Daily Beast and Newsweek, where his stories on topics like Jennifer Lawrence being paid less than her male colleagues and the #MeToo movement sparked change in Hollywood and won numerous awards. From 2014-2022, he was senior editor in charge of all entertainment coverage at The Daily Beast, before serving in the same capacity at Rolling Stone. In his spare time, he teaches reporting classes at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and watches the Knicks. His favorite films are Casablanca and Clueless.
