ACS Night School: Acting for Film + Television is back this Fall (September 16-October 21) in partnership with the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) and the Argenta Contemporary Theatre (ACT).
The fifth session of ACS’ Acting for Film + Television will focus on learning the intricacies of acting for the screen. Students will learn character work, scene study, script analysis, and additional performance techniques, as well as discussing the business aspects of film and TV. The course is designed for people with some acting experience, whether on stage or in short or feature films.
Coburn Goss will be the Acting for Film + Television’s instructor for the 2026 session. A North Little Rock native, Goss is currently the Artistic Director at the Argenta Contemporary Theatre (ACT). He began his career at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre before building an impressive résumé in Chicago and beyond. As an actor, he is best known for the films Man of Steel, The Lucky Ones, Joshua and What Women Want. Other film credits include Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Runner, Reconstruction, Harvest Moon and Shelter. On stage, his work has included credits with Steppenwolf Theatre, Goodman Theatre, off-Broadway productions, as well as projects in television and film. He is also the author of the award-winning play “Marked Tree” and the film All Happy Families.
