ACS is collaborating with Fort Smith International Film Festival and the River Valley Film Society for their Borderlands Film Series to screen this fashion documentary, produced by Northwest Arkansas arts non-profit INTERFORM. The group enlisted filmmakers Mario Troncoso and Jessica Whalen to direct this intimate look at fashion designers in the region in lieu of holding NWA Fashion Week in the fall of 2021.
This stylized film highlights 10 regional and international designer collections from N-Deed Regime, Klothed:31, Crystal La’Shay, Elizabeth, Asserraj Haus of Fashion, Rosie Rose, Christian Michael, Ashton Hall, Nokota Style, and INTERFORM’s own Marshallese Sewn Trades Class are featured in the film. The designers partnered with local hair and makeup artists, models, and the filmmakers to create a feature-length film showcasing regional skill in several domains.
